This past weekend

Okay I’m a little late in posting about this but I couldn’t get the photos off of my camera till yesterday. Sooo a couple of weeks ago I was asked by a friend in my ward to take photos for her at an AYSO function. Yeah no problem.  Now I’m thinking, “I can do this. Just kids playing soccer.” Than as it kept getting closer to the date I kept freaking out, “Haven’t used my SLR camera in a really long time. Do I remember how to use it? What if I screw up?” I just kept having these terrible thoughts come through my head. Luckily the night before I decided to go through all of my equipment to make sure everything was charged and ready to go. When I turned on the camera I got a big NO CF CARD. “What?! I know there is one in there.” So I check and sure enough no card. “Okay, I know it’s in the bag” Nope not there. I searched everywhere I could think of and no CF card. I know that one of my cards was never returned from taking pictures of the YW last year, but where the other went I don’t know. Good thing I found a 4mb card at Target for only $30. (Do you remember when a 1mb card cost like $85 or more? Crazy I tell you)
But everything went better than I expected. They threw a celebration for the AYSO region celebrating 30 years. It was really interesting to hear about how the region was started by one lady.

Than later that evening I was asked to go to the Real game against New England Revolution to take pictures of the VIP kids playing soccer during halftime. the VIP kids are the handicap and disabled chidren. They were so adorable and fun to take pictures of.

REAL GAME 3
Everything went terrific. I think I took over 250 photos. The game was great. Real won 6-0. Some great goals. The new soccer stadium is awesome. If you’re able to attend a game I highly recommend it. This weekend I have a wedding reception to shoot. Lets hope that goes well as this did.
